The identified report, as a rule, may remain confidential until its conclusion; however, thereafter, the identity of the reporting party may be disclosed, pursuant to the decision of the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court in MS 24405. An anonymous report, in turn, does not contain the reporting party’s details. Therefore, if full protection of personal data is desired, it is necessary to complete the anonymous reporting form, which, however, will not allow the report to be tracked. In all cases, the MPCDF receives the report and initiates its careful investigation.
